In Korean, causative verbs double as present continuous tense when used as adjectives

passive can match both tenses. In general, this is part of a larger problem where the adjective has no tense at all in Korean but the English speaker's brain is confused floating around tense land somewhere looking for an exact match to the vagueness of the tense in the Korean.
