future tense
1. the rule is VST + ㄹ/를 + 것
것 just stands for any generic thing, so it can be replaced by any noun, as in the second example below where it is replaced by 예정 (schedule)
할 것이다  something that will be done
오픈할 예정이다  it is scheduled to be opened/ it will be opened as per the schedule
2. 겠 ... this is the future tense where you say something will happen because you want it to, and it"s within your power to do that thing.
내가 맡겠다고 나섰다
I said I"ll do it.

겠 is to must, to have to. I"m sure somebody will think this is not a tense. They will be right. However, more important than tense in Korean is the intention of the speaker. So, sometimes, this can also indicate a future intention, hence, the future tense, under one possible reading.
