오늘 MBC뉴스를 보니까요..
포스코 기업에 전사적으로 금연을 추진해
흡연율 제로90%)를 만들겠다며,
올 연말까지 담배 피우는 사람이 한 사람도
없는 회사를 천명해 논란이 일고 있습니다.

과연 회사가 개인의 자유를 얼마까지
제한하고 제약할 수 있는 지에 대한
금연권과 흡연권의 충돌 논란입니다.

다음은 포스코 회사측(대표)의 입장입니다.

1. 올 연말까지는 담배를 피우는 사람이 한 사람도 없는 회사를 만들겠다
2. 담배를 계속 피우는 사람은 나와 함께 가지 못한다.
3. 1만6000여명 포스코 전 직원이 모두 담배를 끊도록 만들겠다는 것이다.
4. 금연 시한은 올 연말이며, 혈액 검사를 통해 금연 유무를 최종 판정하겠다.
5. 회사 밖에서 담배를 피울 때는 인사상 불이익을 줄것이다.

이에 대해서 흡연을 하는 포스코 임직원들은
개인 기호문제까지 회사가 너무 간섭한다""고 불만을 터뜨리고 있습니다.

한 회사가 목적과 색깔을 가지고 명분을 내세워 개인의 자유까지 제약할 수 있는지
여부가 이번 토론의 관건입니다.

모든 회사는 취업과 업무에 있어서 차별을 금지하는 추세입니다.
나이, 성별, 종교, 신체 등의 차별을 금지하는 추세에
이번 흡연 제한에 따른 흡연자 인사상 불이익과 퇴사압박을
어떻게 이해하고 받아들여야 할까요?
